E-Collar Add-On
**AVAILABLE FOR THE A+ DAY TRAIN PROGRAM ONLY**
**E-COLLAR IS PROVIDED IN THIS PROGRAM**
Overview
The A+ E-Collar Training add-on is an advanced, trainer-led extension designed for busy owners who want reliable off-leash control and real-world responsiveness—but do not have the time to personally condition and apply the E-Collar themselves.
This add-on allows your dog to receive professional E-Collar conditioning during structured Day Train sessions, once a basic obedience foundation has already been established.
This training is NOT for everyone. It is intentionally designed for owners who cannot consistently train or condition the E-Collar on their own and want the work handled by a professional.

What to expect
Weeks 1-3: Foundation Phase
During the first 3 weeks of the A+ Day Train, your dog focuses entirely on:
Basic and advanced obedience
Engagement and clarity
Consistency with known commands
Structured relationship building
No E-Collar is introduced during this phase. This ensures your dog clearly understands expectations before any advanced training tool is layered.
Weeks 4-8: E-Collar Conditioning Phase
Once obedience is solid, the E-Collar is carefully introduced and conditioned over the next 5 weeks during Day Train sessions.
Because E-Collar training is highly technical and owner-dependent, this phase requires significant owner education alongside the dog’s training.
To allow this to be done correctly and without rushing:
The A+ program is extended by an additional 2 weeks
Private lesson instruction is extended during these 2 weeks
All private lesson time is included within the 3-hour day train window
During this phase, at least 1 hour of each training week is dedicated to working directly with the owner on:
The rules and responsibility of E-Collar use
Proper pairing and timing
Pressure levels and clarity
Safety and ethical application
Trusting your dog with and without the E-Collar
Owner Participation Requirement
Because the E-Collar success depends heavily on owner understanding, owner participation is required during the E-Collar phase.
Option 1: Same-Day Owner Participation
Owners may participate in the 1 hour private lesson:
After drop-off
Before pick-up
This instruction takes place within the scheduled 3-hour Day Train and does NOT extend the session.
Option 2: Scheduled Private Lesson (If Owner Is Unavailable Same day)
If the owner is unable to participate after drop-off or before pick-up, we can schedule a separate 1 hour private lesson at the start of the week to work one-on-one with the owner before training begins.
The 1 hour private lesson is removed from Day Train time
30 minutes will be deducted from two Day Train sessions
This results in a total of 1 hour removed from the Day Train time for that week
Equipment Requirement (Non-Negotiable)
For safety, reliability, and consistency, we only work with E-Collars from Dogtra OR E-Collar Technologies.
These are the safest and most trusted E-Collar brands in the industry. No other E-Collar brands will be accepted.

FAQs
5
What is an E-Collar and how does it work?
1
An E-Collar (remote training collar) is a communication tool that allows owners and trainers to reinforce known commands at a distance. When used correctly, it provides clear, consistent feedback that helps dogs understand expectations--especially in distracting environments.
Is the E-Collar a shock collar?
2
No. When used properly, the E-Collar uses very low-level stimulation designed to communicate. The same type of controlled pulse used in physical therapy devices—so it feels more like a light muscle tap not a painful shock. Most dogs respond at levels that are barely noticeable and simply help redirect attention. When used properly, it’s a communication tool, not an electrocution device.
Are results guaranteed?
3
We guarantee ongoing support from our trainer and staff. Progress depends on breed, age temperament, consistency, and owner effort. Owners who follow the training plan, structure and avoid shortcuts will see the best outcome. If you commit to the plan, structure, and philosophy—we promise you’ll be in a much better place then when you started the program.
Do owners need to be involved in E-Collar training?
4
What if I don’t have time to train with the E-Collar myself?
Yes. Owner education is a critical part of E-Collar training. Understanding timing, levels, rules, and safety ensures the tool is used correctly and responsibly.
Our Day Train E-Collar Add-on is perfect for busy owners. This option is specifically designed for busy owners who want professional conditioning and structured implementation handled by a trainer.
6
Are your training programs refundable?
All training programs are non-refundable, whether in part or in full. Once a program is purchased, we reserve dedicated time, scheduling blocks, and resources specifically for your dog, which is why refunds are not offered.
7
What happens if I don’t schedule or complete my sessions in time?
Any sessions not scheduled or completed within the stated timeframes may be forfeited. Extensions are not guaranteed and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
8
Do you offer transportation for my dog?
Transportation is NOT guaranteed and is based on trainer availability, location, and daily routing. If transportation is available, it will be discussed and confirmed prior to scheduling.
